Some people who have had the privilage of seeing screenshots of SubDraw in action would probably associate it with cartoon-rendering because the screenshots showed a cell-shading/outlining shader system I was experimenting with. However the first screenshots (due soon) of SubDraw in action will be more realistic. With the addition of the Newton Physics wrapper and shaders, as well as some handy shader extensions I have made (and more that I am planning to make) to make shader construction and integration easier, and automatic normal map and tangent vector generation have kindof forced me to do more realistic effects. Which isn't that bad because I like more realism anyway. |

Hey all. Slow news month, with some progress. I've gotten abit through an OBJ loader and I'm working more on linux compatability. The main problem I am having with linux is creating the makefile, I'd rather not spend days making the makefile or spend equally as long on some kind of dodgy makefile maker. My main problem is that there are alot of files to add to the makefile, SubDraw itself has a few but JpegLib adds quite alot. A MSVC++8 or Code::Blocks to makefile converter would be nice, however I have yet to find one. |
